The first-ever Old Amsterdam Food Market – April 12th, 2014 in the city centre – was an event organized in celebration of a new season of the Old Amsterdam Food Tour (http://farmingthecity.net/old-amsterdam-food-tour/). At the market, visitors tasted, prepared, learned and shared, while connecting with local food traditions. Visitors also had a chance to learn from lectures and participate in workshops featuring local entrepreneurs ready to treat and teach, from a time when food was the very core of the city public life.
